BET has revealed its nominees for the 25th annual BET Awards, and competition is stiff among rappers. Kendrick Lamar sits in the lead with 10 nominations, though close behind are fellow hip-hop artists Doechii, Future, GloRilla and Lamar’s lyrical nemesis Drake, with six nominations each.

Lamar received a nomination for album of the year for GNX and video of the year for “Not Like Us,” as well as three viewer’s choice award nods for “Not Like Us,” “Luther,” featuring SZA, and “Like That” with Future & Metro Boomin, and an additional three noms for best collaboration for “Like That,” “30 for 30” and “Luther.” His final two nominations come in the categories of video director of the year with Dave Free and best male hip hop artist.

Also nominated for best male hip hop artist is Drake who scored another nod for best male R&B/pop artist as well as album of the year for $ome $exy $ongs 4 U, video of the year for “Family Matters,” viewer’s choice award for “Nokia” and best group for Drake & PartyNextDoor.

Doechii’s six nominations include album of the year for Alligator Bites Never Heal, video of the year and a viewer’s choice award for “Denial is a River,” a BET her award for “Bloom,” best collaboration for “Alter Ego,” featuring JT, and best female hip hop artist.

GloRilla is also up for best female artist as well as album of the year for Glorious, viewer’s choice award for “TGIF”, best collaboration for “Sticky” with Tyler, The Creator, Sexyy Red and Lil Wayne, the Dr. Bobby Jones best gospel/inspirational award’ for “Rain Down On Me” and a BET Her award for “In My Bag” with FLO.

Also tied for six nominations is Future who’s up for for album of the year for We Don’t Trust You with Metro Boomin, video of the year for “Type Shit” with Metro Boomin, Travis Scott and Playboi Carti, best collaboration and viewer’s choice award for “Like That” with Metro Boomin, featuring Kendrick Lamar, best group with Future and Metro Boomin and best male hip hop artist.

Additional lead nominees include SZA and The Weeknd, who are tied with four nominations each and Arya Starr, Chris Brown, Lil Wayne, Maverick City Music, Playboi Carti, Teddy Swims and Tyler, The Creator, who each earned three nominations. 

This year’s BET Awards will be hosted by Kevin Hart. The ceremony will air live on BET from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on Monday, June 9 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
