Miley Cyrus Wore Maybelline Foundation and Concealer

Miley Cyrus had an eventful Grammy Awards weekend. She got to present Kendrick Lamar (my king) one of his five awards for “Not Like Us.” But, the highlight for her was obviously securing her third award alongside Beyoncé—best country duo/group performance for “II Most Wanted.” She looked glamorous and sultry—her MO—in a black leather dress with sharp cat eyes and a smooth, dewy, and poreless complexion. Her glowy skin was thanks to makeup artist James Kaliardos and an array of very affordable Maybelline products.

Kaliardos tells InStyle that “soft beautiful skin” is a process, even for the rich and famous. It begins with skin prep in the form of “cleansing, pore attention, toning, emulsion, moisturizers, and a mask.” When it came time for her makeup, the crux of her complexion was two products: the Age Rewind Concealer and the Super Stay Lumi-Matte Foundation.

“[I apply] Age Rewind Concealer to the under eyes, around the center of the face, and where the light hits the lips and chin,” Kaliardos says. Then he uses small drops of the Super Stay Lumi-Matte Foundation everywhere else and blends it using a sponge or brush. 

Those two Maybelline products Kaliardos used on Miley Cyrus come out to $20 total—that’s $38 less than my current foundation. And though I assume a celebrity makeup artist could make any and all products look good, his picks are backed up by thousands of five-star ratings. 

Age Rewind Concealer

I’ll start with the concealer—it has 153,000-plus five-star ratings on Amazon alone. One shopper said it “blurs fine lines, diminishes dark circles…and lasts all day.” The foundation and contour stick are new products, and thus have amassed fewer reviews. Still, a shopper said the Super Stay Lumi-Matte Foundation “hits that sweet spot of coverage, moisture, and wearability.”

As for Cyrus’s bone structure, you’ll have to bargain with God or a plastic surgeon. A less dramatic option, though, is the Maybelline Lifter Stix, which Kaliardos used to “bring out [her] facial architecture.”
