This Getup lands in that ideal middle ground—relaxed but pulled together, casual but not careless. The structure is subtle, but it’s there, making sure the sweatshirt-and-sneakers combo doesn’t feel like something you just threw on.

Start with the foundation: the pants. These are a modern, budget-friendly take on the OG-107 military fatigue, a workwear classic first issued to U.S. troops in the ’50s. My pair—a now-discontinued Amazon Essentials version—leans more casual than chinos but still keeps things sharp. The straight fit keeps it clean, with enough room to move but no excess fabric pooling at the ankles.
The sweatshirt brings a quiet detail that sets it apart. This one’s a rainbow nep, meaning it has tiny flecks of color woven into the oatmeal base. Up close, it adds texture without feeling loud—I call it my Funfetti sweatshirt. Any textured off-white, cream, or oatmeal sweatshirt works here, keeping the palette soft and versatile.
Layered underneath, a heather blue tri-blend tee introduces a peek layer of visual interest. The marled texture gives it that vintage, broken-in feel, while the deep blue subtly plays off the nep flecks in the sweatshirt and ties into the sneakers.
Speaking of sneakers, these are the Converse 70 Hi in parchment—my go-to when I want something easy, casual, and not leather. I featured them just last week. This colorway gives the classic Chuck silhouette a little more refinement, making it as at home with denim as it is with utility pants.
