It’s no surprise that Barbara Tfank considers herself to be immersed in the film industry—she’s a designer who lives in Los Angeles. Lately, Tfank has been watching Netflix’s remake of The Leopard, which takes place in 19th century Sicily (she recommends you watch Visconti’s 1963 film before delving into the limited series). Looking at her clothes, you can understand why the designer is so obsessed with historical films. She loves timeless pieces that take time to craft.

Her fall 2025 collection, while much more modern than the gowns from The Leopard, still has a regal vibe. Off-the-shoulder dresses come in a multitude of styles, from more traditional iterations in brocade to lacier numbers with a youthful appeal. After getting requests from her clients to create more daytime friendly looks, Tfank included a skirt that looks handsome with a button-up or a sleek turtleneck; its tiny matching capelet makes it suitable for a night out on the town.
