Bella Hadid’s Cannes Film Festival reign continues strong. On the heels of debuting fresh “supermodel blonde” hair yesterday in the French city, she stepped out in another head-turning look today. For an event that celebrates the very best in film, Hadid fittingly nodded to Hollywood royalty—Angelina Jolie—with a sexy LBD.

While a little black dress is a tried-and-true classic, the model’s iteration was anything but boring. She wore an inky-black satin gown that featured an elegant cowl neck, slinky bodice, floor-grazing column skirt, heart-racing high leg slit, criss-cross back detail, and plenty of side boob- and back-baring cutouts. She paired the sophisticated Saint Laurent number with layers of diamond Chopard jewelry, including a smattering of rings and stunning emerald drop earrings. Strappy silver-and-black heels finished off her ensemble.

As for beauty, the Orabella founder let her honey-blonde locks shine by wearing them down and straight with a dramatic, deep side part. She glammed up with sultry makeup, complete with dark eyeliner, a smoky cat eye, bronzy cheeks, nude lipstick, and a pearl-hued manicure.

Hadid’s look had serious Jolie vibes, calling to mind the Maleficent star’s 2012 Oscars gown. At the time, the actress wore a regal black velvet Versace masterpiece that featured its own thigh-high slit, sleeveless neckline, and voluminous skirt.

Hadid is off to a monochromatic start at the 78th annual festival. Yesterday, she made her arrival in an angelic all-white outfit, composed of a bustier corset and matching tailored pants. The real statement-maker, however, was her new caramel-colored tresses—Hadid’s lightest shade in years.

Cannes’s new dress code guidelines, which prohibit nudity and voluminous outfits, clearly pose no obstacles for Hadid, who is now going two-for-two with gorgeous red carpet ensembles.
