Good news for Bilt Rewards members: Feb. 1 is another Bilt Rent Day.

As on previous Rent Days, you can snag double points for nonrent purchases and play the “Rent Free” game. Bilt is also offering a status-based transfer bonus to Avianca LifeMiles, celebrating the opening of its first neighborhood cafe in New York City and offering the ability to buy floor-seat tickets to J Balvin’s “Back to the Rayo” tour this Rent Day.

Here’s what you need to know about the February Bilt Rent Day promotions.

Status-based transfer bonus to Avianca LifeMiles

Bilt members can enjoy a status-based transfer bonus to Avianca LifeMiles this Rent Day. Avianca is part of Star Alliance, so you can redeem LifeMiles to book travel with Avianca and other Star Alliance airlines like United Airlines, Air Canada and Lufthansa.

The transfer bonus you’ll get if you transfer Bilt Rewards Points to LifeMiles on Feb. 1 from 12 a.m. EST to 11:59 p.m. PST is based on your Bilt Rewards status as follows:

  • Platinum members: 100% bonus
  • Gold members: 50% bonus
  • Silver members: 40% bonus
  • Blue members: 20% bonus

You can transfer Bilt Points to Avianca LifeMiles in increments of 1,000, although Bilt Blue members must transfer at least 2,000 points. Of course, you must be enrolled in Avianca LifeMiles and link your LifeMiles account to your Bilt account before transferring any points.

I don’t recommend speculatively transferring your Bilt points to Avianca without a solid plan, especially after LifeMiles recently increased award rates between the U.S. and Europe by up to 50%. However, there’s still value in the LifeMiles program, including redeeming for United-operated domestic flights. So, I recommend learning about the Avianca LifeMiles program, checking award availability and then considering whether this transfer bonus is worth utilizing.

‘Rent Free’ game

In August 2023, Bilt launched a new way to win free rent for a month (up to $2,500): the “Rent Free” game show. Bilt has since offered the “Rent Free” game show each Rent Day, with a new creator or personality playing each month. This month, the guest is Grammy Award winner and Latin music superstar J Balvin.

You’ll earn points when you pick a top-three answer, when you correctly rank that answer and when the celebrity guest picks the same answer as you. You must visit the Bilt app to play the game by Feb. 1 at 3 p.m. EST. Then, return to the app after Feb. 1 at 4 p.m. EST to see your score.

The 10 top-scoring players will win free rent for a month (up to $2,500), and the next 500 top-scoring members will earn Bilt points. If you tie with another Bilt member, the tie will be broken based on who played the game first.
