British Airways announced that it will be offering over 400 direct flights a week to North and Central America in the summer of 2025.
These flights will be taking off from London and making their way to 26 cities throughout the United States, as well as key destinations in Canada and Mexico.
Currently, the UK flag carrier operates more flights across the pond than any other European carrier, and is the only European airline to offer a luxury first class cabin across the Atlantic from London.
According to the airline’s chief planning and strategy officer Neil Chernoff: “The US remains a priority market for us, and we know these network changes will be welcomed by both our business and leisure customers, providing more options than ever before to travel between the UK and the USA.”
A jam-packed summer schedule
British Airways’ expansive summer schedule includes 14 flights a week to Miami, FL; 13 flights a week to Austin, TX; ten weekly flights to Las Vegas, NV; seven flights to Pittsburgh, PA; 21 weekly flights to Washington DC; and 14 flights to Vancouver.
The airline already launched six new routes to cities across the US over the past decade. These additions include Austin in 2014, New Orleans in 2016, Nashville in 2018, Pittsburgh in 2019, Portland, Oregon, in 2022, and most recently Cincinnati in 2023.
