Some brands and stores have already begun firing up their Black Friday sale engines. These “pre-sale sales” can be a good opportunity to find markdowns while inventory is still good. Here are a few of my picks that are already marked down.

Everything I’m wearing above is currently on sale. Talbot’s has 40% off sweaters, accessories and shoes. Madewell has 40% off everything with code MADEBETTER. These comfortable loafers are sold out in the gold, but silver and several other colors are still available.
Ruti is offering 25% off storewide (full-priced styles). This quilted vest is turning out to be one of my best purchases this year. I’ve been wearing it almost daily for the last few weeks. The slouchy twill pants are almost sold out in navy but other colors are available.
And these Vince sneakers have been one of my favorites for years. They’re SO comfortable!! I replaced an older pair with this rust suede color earlier this year, which is now on sale.

Banana Republic Cashmere Half-Zip Sweater – $280*
If you’re a Banana Republic card member, you can save 40% off sitewide this weekend with your card. (Everyone else can shop the sale on Monday.) This fabulous cashmere zip-neck sweater is also available in red with camel stripe, navy with white stripe, and black, sizes XX-Small to XX-Large. (I tried it on and the XS was a perfect fit for me. Relaxed but not oversized.)
