Growing up, my mom’s purse was nothing short of a Mary Poppins bag. Advil, hand sanitizer, granola bars—you name it, she had it. Another item always present in her bag was hand cream, and for good reason. She has perpetually dry skin which, unfortunately for me, I’ve inherited. That’s why this winter, when my hands became rough beyond repair, I finally decided to find a moisturizing purse staple of my own. My search led me to the Eucerin Advanced Repair hand cream, a new beauty favorite that I now can’t live without.

With its thick, rich texture and dermatologist-backed ingredients, this product is the stuff of smooth skin dreams. As opposed to overly fragrant, watery hand lotions, the Eucerin cream immediately soaks into the skin and actually gives results. While this three-pack of the product is on sale for $18—that’s just $6 apiece—I’m stocking up ASAP.

Prior to using the cream, my winterized hands were so moisture-deprived, they practically looked gray. Due to my constant handwashing (germaphobe here), my knuckles had begun to crack and constant flaking became part of my daily routine. Since using the cream, however, my hands have transformed. Immediately upon application, the product seamlessly seeps into my skin, leaving it feeling buttery soft. While cosmetics that promise results after one use typically give me pause, that’s really the case here. I can’t imagine washing my hands without furiously reaching for my Eucerin right after.

The cream’s ultra-nourishing power is likely due to the inclusion of ceramides, which strengthen our skin barrier, helping us retain moisture. Dr. Melissa Kanchanapoomi Levin, a board-certified dermatologist in New York City, previously told Byrdie that we lose ceramides as we age, making it all the more important to work them into our skin care routines. The cream is also made with alpha-hydroxy, a chemical exfoliant that eradicates dead skin cells, leading to a smoother texture overall.

One scroll through the product’s review section confirms that I’m not its only fan. One shopper reported their hands look “five to 10 years younger” after use, adding that they’ve since ordered three more bottles. Another reviewer praised the formula, appreciating that it “leaves hands smooth without being greasy.” And, as a third person put it, the cream is like “luxury in a tube.”

Despite its high-end feel, a three-pack of this cream is currently on sale for just $18, meaning each bottle comes out to just $6 apiece. Head to Amazon to join me in stocking up on the  Eucerin Advanced Repair hand cream, and check out more products from the brand, below.
