Peacock has revealed their gnarly first teaser trailer for the next season of the Twisted Metal action series, an adaptation of the video game series of the same name. The first season of Twisted Metal hit the road in late 2023, streaming on Peacock for fans of the game series to enjoy. Season 2 continues right where that left off taking them into the Tournament. Showrunner Michael Jonathan Smith explains: “The stakes couldn’t be higher as John & Quiet risk their lives to compete in the dangerous demolition derby tournament. The prize? A single wish, their greatest hearts desire, granted. The only problem is sixteen other drivers have wishes of their own. In a fast-paced, hysterical, thrilling season with unforgettable characters… not all will survive.” 💥💥 Anthony Mackie & Stephanie Beatriz return as John & Quiet, with Anthony Carrigan, Will Arnett, Samoa Joe, Saylor Bell Curda, Lisa Gilroy, Richard de Klerk, Patty Guggenheim, and others. Twisted Metal, a half-hour live-action TV series based on the classic PlayStation game series, is a high-octane action comedy about a motor-mouthed outsider offered a chance at a better life, but only if he can successfully deliver a mysterious package across a post-apocalyptic wasteland. Following Season 1, John & Quiet find themselves entering the deadly Twisted Metal tournament, a sinister demolition derby hosted by a mysterious man known as Calypso. As they try to survive an onslaught of dangerous new foes and familiar faces alike, including the murderous clown Sweet Tooth, things get complicated for John when he reunites with his long-lost sister, the vigilante Dollface. Twisted Metal is a series created by writers Rhett Reese & Paul Wernick (of Zombieland, Deadpool 1 & 2, Life, Spiderhead) with Michael Jonathan Smith, who remains as showrunner.
