Experts suggest using compounded minoxidil/finasteride/tadalafil options only after you’ve seen how oral finasteride impacts your sex drive. Hims positions its biotin-dense supplements as a great way to grow hair thicker and faster. Yes, you might notice improved growth, but biotin alone won’t help you keep your hair. However, if you choose to incorporate this delicious little treat into your daily hair care routine, I say go for it—just don’t put too much stock in its “hair retention” claims. FWIW, there are a bunch of other great supplement options out there, such as Nutrafol, which include DHT-fighting ingredients like saw palmetto and ashwagandha (though they aren’t as deliciously chewable, cute, or squishy as these bear gummies from Hims).

Hims’ original slate of offerings included two topical options for minoxidil (a foam and serum) as well as oral finasteride. These are without question some of the most effective hair loss treatments, though the script has flipped on the preferred route of administration for both—and Hims is keeping up with the curve.
