The leading Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer, Honda, has introduced its first electric scooter, the Honda Activa QC1, in the Indian market. Under its new Activa electric lineup, Honda has unveiled two models: Activa E and Activa Q1. The Activa E features a swappable battery, while the QC1 comes with a fixed battery system. Design
Coming to the design, the QC1 comes with Honda’s Simple and smooth styling with Dual-tone elements at the front. It comes with centrally positioned LED headlamps with turn indicators and an LED DRL placed at the top. It has body colour side mirrors and Black colour Alloy wheels at the front.
At the rear, it is equipped with LED taillights and separate LED indicators, giving it a motorbike-like feel. It also has a sturdy black colour grabrail which gives it a sleek rear look. It comes in 5 colour options Pearl Shallow Blue, Pearl Serenity Blue, Matt Foggy Silver Metallic, Pearl Igneous Black and Pearl Misty White.
Range and Battery
The Honda QC1 features a fixed 1.5kWh Li-ion battery with BP cell technology. As per the company, it can give 80km of range on a single charge. The scooter comes with a 330W off-board Home charger compatible with 6A power sockets allowing users to easily charge the scooter at their home.
It also has Controlled Auto-Cut technology for safe charging. Honda claims the battery can be charged from 0 to 80% in 4 hours and 30 minutes, while a full charge takes 6 hours and 50 minutes. The Activa QC1 is powered by a 1.8kW in-wheel electric motor that delivers a maximum torque of 77 Nm, with a top speed of 50 km/h.
