- Co-stars Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson opened up about filming sex scenes for their new movie Die, My Love.
- They both called part of the preparation “embarrassing.”
- “Eventually you get used to it and you’re like talking, getting notes, having a snack—naked,” Lawrence said.
Jennifer Lawrence says she and Robert Pattinson had “instant trust” before shooting sex scenes for their latest film Die, My Love, which premiered at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival on Saturday.
In a new interview with Brut, the co-stars revealed how they bonded before heading to set. The film’s director, Lynne Ramsay, sent her leading actors to dance classes, which Lawrence called “so humiliating and embarrassing.”
“You can’t get more embarrassed,” Pattinson chimed in.
The dance instructor reportedly told them to “move like molasses,” per Lawrence, though the Oscar winner said “that helped a lot.”
Lawrence and Pattinson began filming their sex scenes right away: “Our first day shooting, we were naked, attacking each other like tigers,” the No Hard Feelings star said.
Pattinson said that jumping right into intimate scenes was “kind of a good idea actually.”
“If we didn’t like each other, it becomes increasingly more awkward,” the actor explained, adding that taking direction in the buff is “genuinely quite funny.”
“Eventually you get used to it and you’re like talking, getting notes, having a snack—naked,” Lawrence continued.

Lawrence and Pattinson portray a married couple in Die, My Love, which takes place in Montana. The psychological drama follows a new mom who develops postpartum depression.
Earlier this week, Lawrence and Pattinson attended a dinner hosted by Dior in honor of the film’s cast. Lawrence embraced the boho trend in a sheer floral kimono, pairing it with a large round pendant and rimless sunglasses.
The actress has long been associated with the French fashion house, who famously dressed her for her first Oscar win in 2013.
