Kate Middleton and Prince William are gearing up for a busy day next week. Kensington Palace shared on February 20 that the couple has a special engagement coming up that will mark their second joint appearance of the year.

According to People, the palace confirmed that Princess Kate and Prince William will be visiting Pontypridd in south Wales on February 26, in honor of St. David’s Day (March 1), a national day of celebration for Wales. During their trip, the two will meet with community members impacted by the December 24 flooding caused by Storm Bert and Storm Darragh. They also plan to make a stop at the Pontypridd Market, where they will meet with business owners and try their hands at baking special Welsh cakes. As an avid baker of birthday cakes for her kids, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, Middleton will likely shine during this portion of the day.

Later in their trip, Kate and William will also visit the Meadow Street Community Garden and Woodland, which was established as a “safe place for all” in 2021, according to People. The garden was affected by the flooding but has been since restored.

The special day in Wales will mark the couple’s second appearance together in 2025. Earlier this year, Middleton and William attended a January 27 ceremony commemorating Holocaust Memorial Day and the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the largest Nazi death camp, Auschwitz-Birkenau. During the service, the two lit candles in honor of the lives lost during the Holocaust and met with several survivors.

Middleton has seemingly made a full return to her royal duties. In addition to the appearance with her husband, Middleton has also made several solo appearances this year. The princess made a surprise appearance at the Royal Marsden Hospital, where she underwent cancer treatment herself, and announced she’s officially in remission. She also visited the National Portrait Gallery in London, where she took a bus ride with young school students, as well as a women’s prison in Cheshire.
