Katie Holmes is stepping into the new season in style—even if some of her choices are a tad unexpected. Attending the grand opening of the Printemps New York store at One Wall Street, Holmes decided to recreate a runway look from Tory Burch’s Fall/Winter 2025 show—and, somewhat surprisingly, the autumnal look ended up being kind of perfect for spring.
The look centered around the Viscose Jacquard Dress, a brown shirt dress with an abstract, splotchy white print. The dress was loose around the chest then wrapped tightly around Holmes’ hips, before fading into a midi straight skirt. Mimicking the model who first wore the look at New York Fashion Week just last month, Holmes paired the dress with the Tory Burch Mouse Stockings in a chocolate brown shade, along with the Tory Burch Twisted Heel Slingbacks. Who knew shades of brown could feel so fresh and—well—spring-ready?

Holmes added her own touch to the look, swapping the black back for a pale pink suede handbag and wore her hair in loose waves.

Holmes is a long-time fan of Tory Burch. “I love Tory Burch. I love her clothing and she’s a phenomenal woman, so I’m so happy to come out and support her … and it’s fun and inspiring to be around people creating,” the actress said after Burch’s Fall/Winter show at New York Fashion Week in 2022.

Holmes has been slowly introducing some unpredictable spring looks into her wardrobe as the weather gets a little a warmer. This week, she hopped aboard one of the season’s most polarizing trends, pairing wintery black tights with summery metallic sandals. She’s also been making the case for another unusual spring trend—the suede bag. It seems “unexpected shades of brown” can be added to the list of Katie Holmes-approved spring trends.
