One of the biggest shows on 
Netflix
in recent years will return for not one, but two more seasons, with the science fiction series now getting an epic production update. After debuting on the streamer back in March last year, 3 Body Problem comes from Game of Thrones creators David Benioff and D. B. Weiss who, alongside Alexander Woo, transformed the Chinese novel series “Remembrance of Earth’s Past” by Liu Cixin into an ambitious story that stretches across time and space.
According to a new report from What’s on Netflix, 3 Body Problem Seasons 2 and 3 are all set to begin production “with both upcoming seasons likely set to be filmed back to back, akin to the recent example of Avatar: The Last Airbender, which was similarly renewed for a second and third season together.”

Alongside this, the outlet has been privy to documents which reveal that both seasons will shift their filming location from the United Kingdom to Hungary, something which is backed up by a recent post from director and producer Jeremy Podeswa, who shared images from Budapest, the capital of Hungary. While further details of what’s next in the epic tale of 3 Body Problem, it’s exciting to know that Netflix is fully committed to delivering a lot more of the hit series. And soon.

3 Body Problem was met with glowing reviews from both critics and audiences alike, landing a rating of 79% on Rotten Tomatoes from the former and 77% from the latter. Just last month, returning star Eiza González teased what’s next while speaking to Extra TV:
“It’s such a hard, you know, it’s a very unique piece of material. I remember reading the book and the scripts and just being completely transfixed by this world creation. And it’s so, it’s so sci-fi that sometimes you never know where it’s going to land, but people really welcomed it with open arms. And it’s amazing to meet people and how they’ve connected with the show. And I’m super excited for second and third season because if people have read the books, we’re going into the most amazing source material.”
