New footage for Elio has debuted at CinemaCon. The upcoming Pixar movie sees 11-year-old Elio Solis (Yonas Kibreab) unintentionally going to space, only to be surrounded by aliens who assume that he is the ambassador of planet Earth. The cast also includes Zoe Saldaña as Elio’s Aunt Olga, Brad Garrett as the formidable alien Lord Grigon, and Jameela Jamil as the alien ambassador Questa.

Now, new footage of Elio has been shown at CinemaCon, which provides a closer look at what to expect from the Pixar film. The full breakdown reads:

The footage begins with him being abducted by aliens. When he gets up to the spaceship, a small floating bot scans Elio. It says it’s a liquid supercomputer and gives Elio a drink, compliments of the communi-verse — a community that combines the greatest minds from the universe. Apparently that drink is something everyone is having. Elio is their new “candidate.”

Elio is taken through their community and is introduced to a few new characters. Then he unlocks another computer that knows all of the answers to the universe, like, “What is the meaning of life? What lies beyond a black hole?” But Elio just wants to know who would win between a gorilla and another animal, which the computer sighs and answers “a gorilla.”

Later, Elio meets Glordon, his friend we see in the trailer. Most of the footage is what we’ve already seen, but with more focus on the friendship between Elio and Glordon, as well as their adventure in space.
