Some people are infatuated with shoes, others have an eye for jewelry, but handbags are my accessory soulmate. I’ve spent far more on less practical handbags, so the $150 price tag was already a no-brainer, especially since Quince’s version is constructed with 100 percent Italian leather in the same rich-looking woven design. I’d describe its size as a smaller tote; it won’t fit a laptop, but it’s just large enough for a tablet, a stack of notebooks, and a spare pair of shoes, which is all I need for the day-to-day.  

The interior is split into two compartments by a central divider, which offers both a zip and slip pocket for slotting in smaller items, like a wallet, keys, and phone. Its soft structure and wide, open-top design make it easy to fish out what you need at a glance, while the magnetic snap closure helps cinch the silhouette back into shape and keep everything secure. 

The leather satchel is available in Quince’s signature chic neutrals, including black, bone, sage green, and taupe, but the warm brown cognac iteration felt perfect for summer. Plus, it’s an any-season hue that’ll easily transition to fall. Another standout feature is its convertible design. I love that I can wear it as a top handle bag to make outfits more sophisticated, but when I’m on the go, the front decorative cord transfigures into two long straps that can sling over the shoulder or be worn as a crossbody.
