Love is most definitely in the air this February as communities band together in various charity events. Participating in these events can support many important causes while bringing you closer to the people in your vicinity.
1. Parkinson’s Revolution Ride
Parkinson’s Revolution is holding in-person cycling events in Miami, Charlotte and other spaces this February 22. The program generates funds and awareness for those living with Parkinson’s disease.
Far from an in-person event? Parkinson’s Revolution also has virtual events where you can stream the ride. Check out the 45-minute Traditional Spin Class or the 60-minute Pedaling for Parkinson’s stream.
2. Giving Hearts Day 2025
Giving Hearts Day 2025 is another virtual fundraiser that has garnered the support of more than 600 charities from North Dakota and Northwest Minnesota. It has been going on since January and is about to culminate on February 13. The event has raised $8.8 million in donations so far, accumulating up to $195 million since it started 18 years ago.
3. THON Weekend
THON Weekend is a charity event almost a year in the making. It started with Ignite The Fight, an annual fundraiser on July 1 that raises awareness about childhood cancer. This year, it’s set to take place on February 21 to 23 with the ultimate dance marathon. Join the campaign in person or participate in the online fundraiser.
4. Rural Gone Urban Foundation Wanderlust
The Rural Gone Urban Foundation in Oklahoma aims to support women in rural areas. Wanderlust, a Valentine’s Day-themed event on February 15, will give couples a night of fun while raising money for charity. Enjoy a night out with a steak dinner and live ‘90s country songs after an auction.
5. The Good Samaritan Group of Hammonton Soup Kitchen
The Good Samaritan Group of Hammonton provides hot meals through the Soup Kitchen on all Wednesdays this month. Food will be distributed at the Hammonton Family Success Center. If you’re free on the day, consider lending a helping hand.
6. Flyers Charities Carnival
Head to the Wells Fargo Center on February 23 for Flyers Charities’ largest fundraiser. The event will last all day, allowing fans and families to meet the Philadelphia Flyers players, play tailgate games and ride a Ferris wheel. You can also support the team’s charities by visiting their pop-ups at the venue.
7. Youth Charity League Stuffed Animal Drive
The Youth Charity League is an inspirational organization. After all, it’s important to cultivate the upcoming generation of philanthropists to keep organizations thriving. This February, they’re holding a stuffed animal drive for Project Lemonade, which will donate resources to Oregon foster care youth. Find the drop-off bins all across Portland!
8. MAPS Charities 15th Anniversary Celebration
The Mission to Assist and Provide for Seniors, or MAPS Charities, is holding its 15th Anniversary Celebration on February 28 at the Skirball Cultural Center. The event will recognize 15 honorees who have helped the organization meet its mission. You can purchase sponsors and tributes for the seniors or bring non-perishable food to the luncheon.
These February charity events in 2025 can be such an eye-opening experience. Whether you’re bringing a date, tagging along with friends or heading solo, know that your impact is recognized and appreciated.
