Martin Scorsese’s impact on American filmmaking is near-mythical, at this point; films like Raging Bull, Taxi Driver, Goodfellas, and more recent works like The Wolf of Wall Street and Killers of the Flower Moon have forever placed him in the cinematic hall of fame. A new five-part docuseries from Apple TV+ will trace the director’s creative life from his early days at NYU to his most recent Oscar-winning projects, with the help of close friends, family, and a cadre of his most significant collaborators, including Robert De Niro, Daniel Day-Lewis, Leonardo DiCaprio, Sharon Stone, Mick Jagger, Jodie Foster, Cate Blanchett, Margot Robbie, and more. The series will also include interviews with Scorsese himself, as well as footage from his private archives. Hopefully, his social-media-savvy daughter Francesca will make an appearance, too.
