Bra: a short, three-letter word that most people can probably conjure up a long list of woes for. It’s too tight! It’s too constricting! It pokes mid-day! It doesn’t offer proper support! The story is so often the same—and for the sake of this story, I’ll tell mine. I don’t love bras, but I’ll usually wear one, only to be so over them by the end of the day that I rip it off. I had just about given up on the idea of ever finding something supportive and comfortable, until my sister told me about a bralette she tried and, in short, “loved!”

I like bralettes, but with my small chest, I typically opt for something that gives a bit of a lift. That said, after many years of “ugh”-inducing options, I was over it—so, I gave my sister-approved pick a try. The bralette in question? This Calvin Klein Cotton Lightly Lined option that’s currently on sale for, wait for it, $13.

Upon first wear, I knew this bralette was unlike any other bras I owned. The fabric was buttery-soft thanks to its cotton design, offering just the right amount of stretch—but not too much that it risks losing its supportive nature. The cotton material also makes it breathable, ideal for hot, humid summer days (because I’m so over underboob sweat). But, my favorite part is that, unlike most bralettes that tend to lack shaping support, this Calvin Klein style actually has removable cups for, well, options. And I need options depending on the day—and the shirt I’m wearing it with.

Other features I love are the fuss-free, pullover design, so I don’t have to deal with hooking a bra band anymore, plus a racer back that makes it suitable for tank tops (a summer must!). It’s easy to wash, though I have opted to hand wash it to extend its lifecycle, and, of course, the $13 price is unbeatable.

If you still have hesitations, listen up: After a long day, I laid down on the couch and, unexpectedly, slept for 8 hours with the bra on (!!!), but I barely felt it. It didn’t poke or feel constricting during the night, and it held up to my usual night sweats. I never thought I’d live in a world where I would sleep in a bra, but alas, I guess that’s the ultimate test—and this Calvin Klein bralette passed with flying colors.

I now own it in multiple colors, but I’m considering stocking up on even more while it’s on sale. You can snag it in size S to XXL and various hues, though the pink and leopard-print are already sold out. So, shop the bra that I now tell everyone is so good, I slept in it, while it’s only $13.
