Founded in 2019, Tryp.com plans to put the funding towards expansion into the U.K. and Germany as well as develop its artificial intelligence-powered platform further.
As part of the investment, the startup has secured multi-year media investments with ITV and German Media Pool to help it reach new audiences. Advertising campaigns will begin on ITV channels in the coming weeks and be followed by campaigns on RTLZWEI in Germany in spring.
“We have spent the past years creating a disruptive AI powered travel platform and have found a very passionate community,” said Andre Sousa, CEO of Tryp.com.
“With this round, together with our media partners, we can reach consumers on a whole new level — which is incredibly exciting for the Tryp.com brand and our ambitions of creating a house-hold, personalized travel platform.”
The company announced seed funding almost two years ago and said at the time that the investment would go toward scaling the company and enhancing its technology.
