Despite Victor’s looming disapproval, Claire was optimistic in her relationship with Kyle and expressed hope that her grandfather would eventually come around and accept their decision to move in together. She even compared her and Kyle’s dynamic to the relationship between Victoria Newman and Cole Howard.

Unfortunately for Claire, Victor is very likely not to accept her, especially since Kyle has moved in, as the Abbott and Newman feud is too big for him to ignore.

Victor has been working to destroy Kyle and Claire’s relationship for a while now. Recently, he made a covert deal with Audra Charles, potentially to help split Kyle and Claire. However, he seems to have kept this a secret from Nikki Newman.
